Ann Claire (Herdegen) Bevin's Obituary
NORTH ANDOVER, MA: Ann Claire (Herdegen) Bevin of North Andover, MA died on September 9, 2011 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill. Born in Lawrence on July 7, 1925 she was the daughter of Alfred and Anastasia (Dillon) Herdegen. She graduated from St. Mary's School in Lawrence. She then went to work at the office of the Surgeon General in Washington, DC with her two sisters. She retired from the Internal Revenue Service in Andover. She is survived by her two sons: Richard Bevin and wife Robin of Litchfield, NH & Ronald Bevin and wife Mary Jane of Windham, NH. She is also survived by her cousin Claire McCarthy of Lawrence, Mr. Riley & Mosey along with many nieces and nephews, and was predeceased by sisters, Margaret Herdegen, Eileen Bailey & Dorothy Poore, brothers: Alfred A. and Charles E. Herdegen. Ann enjoyed gardening and walks with her dogs. She also was a volunteer at amny animal shelters in the area. A memorial service will be private.
