Anita L. (Sepe) LaFrance's Obituary
Anita L. (Sepe) LaFrance, 89, a resident of the Salemhaven Nursing Home, formerly of Lawrence and Lowell, MA, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017 just shy of her 90th birthday. Born in Lowell, Anita was educated in the Lowell Schools and was a 1944 graduate of Lowell High School. She was a member of the school?s Girl Officer?s Battalion. Anita had worked for New England Telephone in the Dial Bureau as an instructor. She was a member of the Poor Clares Society and was a proud member of the Happy Hookers Crocheting Club. She enjoyed going to Foxwoods and was a diehard New England Patriots fan. Anita spent her summers at Rand Pond in Goshen, NH. The widow of Vincent P. LaFrance who was the Supervisor of Fire Apparatus for the Lawrence Fire Department, members of Anita?s family include sons Michael W. LaFrance and Patrick V. LaFrance and his wife Denise as well as two grandchildren whom she adored. Anita is also survived by her sister Louise Makarewicz as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Mario and Matthew Sepe. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in St. Patrick?s Church, 118 South Broadway, Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in North Andover, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, January 16, 2017 from 4 to 8 P.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA.
