Anita P. Burke's Obituary
Anita Pauline (Cyr) Burke, 95, a lifelong resident of Lawrence, MA, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at the M.I. Nursing and Restorative Center.
Born in Lawrence, Anita was educated in the Lawrence School system and was a graduate of Lawrence High School. She had worked in the cafeteria in both the Lawrence and North Andover Schools. Anita was an avid gardener and enjoyed going to the movies as well as watching movies on television both old and new. She was also enjoyed baking.
The widow of Edward Joseph Burke, Jr., family members include her children: Elaine M. Frenna and her husband James of California, Patricia M. Fleming and her husband Richard of Meredith, NH and Edward J. Burke, II and his wife Patrice of Newmarket, NH. She is also survived by her brother Raymond Cyr of North Andover, MA, and grandchildren Ryan and Shane Frenna of California, Edward J. Burke, IV of New Hampshire and Timothy Fleming of Utah, great granddaughter Lilly Burke, great grandson Leo Fleming and several nieces and nephews. Anita was predeceased by her son Robert Burke and her siblings Cecile Guilmette, Rita Kibildis and Donald Cyr.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery also in Lawrence, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday prior to the services from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
