Alice (Hajjar) Persichetti's Obituary
Alice (Hajjar) Persichetti, 93, a life-long resident of Methuen, MA passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the Steward Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.
Born in Methuen, Alice was educated in the Methuen Schools and was a 1941 graduate of Searles High School. She then went on to graduate from Fisher College in Boston with a Bachelor of Arts in Executive Secretarial. Alice had worked in the Dean's office at Phillips Academy in Andover, MA for over 20 years. After her retirement, she had worked for many temporary agencies and then finished her career as a tutor in Foreign Language in the Methuen Public Schools. Alice dedicated her life to the betterment of St. Joseph’s Melkite Church in Lawrence. She was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Alice is survived by her husband of 66 years, Armand “Ray” L. Persichetti, her four children: Stephen Persichetti and his wife Rita of Lawrence, MA, Raymond Persichetti and his wife Linda of Haverhill, MA, Gary Persichetti and his wife Margaret of Lowell, MA and Cynthia Persichetti of Wells, ME. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Nathan, Matthew, Amanda, Jamin, Michael, Laura, Justine, Alex and Paul as well as 6 great-grandchildren, a nephew Daniel Hajjar and a niece Sharon (Hajjar) Pecci.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at St. Joseph’s Melkite Church, 241 Hampshire St., Lawrence, MA. Funeral services will take place at 1:00 P.M. in the church. Burial will then follow in the United Lebanese Cemetery in Andover, MA. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Alice’s name to the Alice (Hajjar) Persichetti Memorial Scholarship in care of St. Joseph’s Melkite Church, 241 Hampshire St., Lawrence, MA, 01841.
