Albert R. 'Bubba' Prophett Jr.'s Obituary
Albert R. “Bubba” Prophett, Jr., 79, a longtime resident of North Andover, MA, went home to be with his wife Sheila Mae Prophett on Friday, May 17, 2024, at the High Pointe House in Haverhill, MA, surrounded by his loving family.
The son of the late Elizabeth Jane (Voss) Prophett, Albert was born in Langdale, Alabama. He was a Quality Control Inspector at A.W. Chesterton in Groveland, MA, retiring in 1994.
He was a member of the Lawrence British Club and loved to go fishing in upstate New York. A huge family man, Albert loved to cook for his family, especially Shepards Pie of which the Potatoes to meat ratio was always off. Albert’s last words to his family were ‘We had a good run.’
The husband of the late Sheila Mae Prophett as well as brother to the late Patricia Gaumond and Sandra Turner, Albert is survived by his son Russell ‘Rusty’ Prophett of Brunswick, ME, daughters: Joni A. Prophett and Rhonda J. Bohnet both of North Andover, MA. He is also survived by his sister Helen Welcher of Cusseta, AL, grandchildren: Joshua Doherty, Christopher Querengasser, R. Axl Prophett, Cameron Prophett, and McKayla Prophett as well as great-grandchildren: Jax Doherty, Jade Doherty, and Tallulah Prophett, his God son Brian Boda, and friends that are like family Jennifer Mugavero and Jack Vehr.
A celebration of Bubba’s life will take place on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 35 Merrimack Street, North Andover, MA.
