As much as I would like to, I can't say I have one fondest memory of Danny. Every Pascha, when I was young, my family and I would drive or fly to Boston and stay with his family. Each year was a new adventure and I never remember having an unpleasant visit. Danny had the best sense of humor and a quick wit I was far too young to understand. Many years later, when my father was dying, Danny got my number and called out of the blue just to check on me. There is no one quite like him, and I feel so blessed to have had him in my life
The English Rooney’s were so lucky to meet Danny and his family last year on their European vacation. We had a wonderful time, Danny reminded Dominic and Imogen so much of their dad Joe (Billy) and it was a pleasure to meet his wonderful family. His sense of humour was amazing and he will stay in our memories for ever. Lots of love from Dominic, Imogen, Clare and Dom on the other side of the pond. Xxxx
Dan was wonderful colleague and a dear friend to all of us. We have never seen a person so optimistic and full of life before. He was our encyclopedia. You ask any question in any topic; he used to answer it. It was a great loss for all of us. Sending lot of strength, love and prayer to his family.
