Mary F. (Daley) Haseltine

Plaistow, N.H. — Mary F.(Daley) Haseltine, 95, a long-time resident of Plaistow, NH, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, of natural causes, with her son Brian by her side, at High Point House in Haverhill, MA. Mary was born in Lawrence, MA on May 28, 1926 and graduated from Saint Mary’s Elementary School and Lawrence High School. Following her high school graduation, she volunteered to join the Navy and upon her discharge was employed by the Lawrence office of Metropolitan Insurance. She would go on to raise her three sons and was employed by the Timberlane School District as a Title 1 Reading Instructor teaching in Plaistow, Atkinson and Danville schools. Following her retirement from the school district, she spent the next two decades as a volunteer and later employee at Lazarus House, Corpus Christi and Bethany House in Lawrence, MA supporting both homeless families and HIV positive individuals. She enjoyed traveling, her extended family and being of service to others. Mary was predeceased by her parents William F. and Mary J.(Kennedy) Daley, her two sisters Theresa M. Daley and Joan E. (Daley) Hussey and her brother, Rev. William F. Daley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis, and her son, Mark, She is survived by her sons Brian Haseltine of Boston, MA and William (and his wife Lynn) Haseltine, her grandson William F, Haseltine II, and granddaughter Hannah Grace Haseltine of Tampa, Florida as well as members of the Daley, Kennedy, Cronin, McCarthy and Hussey families. Due to COVID-19 concerns and restrictions, the funeral service will be private. A memorial service will be held for Mary in the Spring.
