Loyce (Bowes) Rodden

October 12, 1925 - October 31, 2019

Loyce (Bowes) Rodden, 94, a lifelong resident of Andover, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 31st, 2019 at the High Pointe House in Haverhill, with her loving children by her side. Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on October 12, 1925, daughter of the late William J. and Grace E. (Murphy) Bowes. Loyce was a graduate of Lawrence High School and worked as a purchasing agent for the Gillette Company for 30 years. She was married to her beloved husband Clement W. Rodden for 55 years and raised a family of 5 children. Family was always first in Loyce’s life. She enjoyed spending time at the beach and loved the ocean. She was a member of the ShawsheenVillage Women’s Club, The Andover Garden Club, and she especially loved her volunteer work at The Andover Thrift Shop. Her family members include her sons Dr. Jeffrey W. Rodden and his wife Karen of Keene; NH, William C. Rodden of Dorchester, MA.; and Timothy D. Rodden and his wife Susan of Hudson, as well as her daughters Dianne L. and her husband Raymond Cavanagh of Atkinson, NH; and Paula A. and her husband Steven Thomas of Camano Island, Washington, she is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Loyce was predeceased by her husband Clement W. Rodden and her granddaughter Jennifer Randone. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 35 Merrimack Street, North Andover, MA. Her funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon following the wake in Christ Church, 33 Central St, Andover, MA. Burial will follow in the Spring Grove Cemetery in Andover, MA.
