Joseph A. Carroll, 80, of Methuen, Mass. passed away on December 11th, 2020 at the Holy Family hospital. He was born in Lawrence, Mass. on August 12th, 1940 to the late Gertrude (Regan) and John “Jack” Carroll. Joe was educated in the Lawrence schools and was a graduate of Lawrence High School in 1958. He was a former Bricklayer, worked as the director for the Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence, Mass, he bartended at the Whippet Club (Gilligan’s), also for the Hibernians and the Andover Country Club for several years. He was the past Exalted Ruler for the Elks, and a member of the Andover Knights of Columbus. Joe loved being with his family and will be sadly missed by all. He was the beloved husband to Cornelia (Corkery) Carroll for 53 years His family members include his children Mary Kate Carroll Vasque and her husband Roy, John Carroll and his wife Kathy, Lynn Carroll and her husband Bobby Lefebre, Kathleen Carroll and her husband Dan Sanzi, and Nora Carroll and her husband Rick Bevilacqua. His brother Thomas Carroll His Grandchildren Chris Ford, Jack, Sean and Kenzi Vasque, Joe, James, and Stephen Carroll, Dan and Nora Sanzi, Patrick DiMartino, Kathleen and Michael Lefebre, Mary Katherine Bevilacqua. As well as his Great Grandchild Adalynn DiMartino and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to call on Friday, December 18th, 2020 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 19th, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Mary’s Church in Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen, MA.
