Carole M. Berube

July 30, 1935 - February 5, 2022

Carol M. (Mercier) Berube, 86, a resident of Salem, NH and formerly of Lawrence, MA, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, MA. The daughter of the late Leo J. and Blanche E. (Gagnon) Mercier, Carole was born and educated in Lawrence and was a graduate of Lawrence High School. Carole loved gardening and cooking as well as spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed vacationing on Cape Cod. The wife of the late Roland J. Berube, Carole is survived by her son Charles B. Berube and his wife Jackie of Methuen, MA, and her daughter Leslie B. Buresh of Salem, NH. She is also survived by her son-in-law Kevin MacLean of Seabrook, NH, her brother Douglas Mercier and his wife Joanne of Miami, FL, as well as 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Carole was mother to the late Robin L. MacLean and mother-in-law of William T. Buresh. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 11, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Good Counsel-St. Theresa’s Church, 22 Plymouth St., Methuen. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lawrence. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, February 10, 2022, from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA.
