March 18, 1930 - December 25, 2019
Lawrence, MA and Kennebunkport, ME — Ann Maucieri, 89 became an angel on Christmas Day, 2019. Ann would like to let you know that her work here is done. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be socializing, dancing, singing and reading to her heart’s content. Music, laughter and love are guaranteed. Food is delicious and you never gain an ounce. We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Ann during her 89 years, among them: “get over here and give me a hug”, never enough hugs in her world. “Never throw away old pantyhose, use the old ones to wrap around your head to get rid of that headache, no aspirin necessary.” And “never, ever throw away food in the fridge. Leftovers, no matter what color are still good”. In her day, Ann was an avid dancer, winning the Cha-Cha contest with the late Tony Manelli. She was an accomplished candlepin bowler and was proud of her many trophies. She also skied as a member of the Lawrencian ski club. She was an organist and sang in the choir at the Holy Rosary Church. Her love of music resulted in learning to play the piano by ear becoming quite an accomplished musician. Ann enjoyed 50 summers at Gooserocks Beach in Maine where she loved her summer home and the many friends and organizations she belonged to. Ann was born and raised in Lawrence, MA on March 18, 1930, the daughter of the late Michael and Ralphaela (Quaglietta) DiBitetto. Left behind to carry on Ann’s legacy, her best friend and beloved husband of 59 years, Nick; sons Nick Jr. and wife Debbie (Tyrrell) of Kennebunkport, ME; Rob and Diane of Hudson NH; grandchildren Jeremy his wife Kristen Sweeney of Dracut, MA; Melodee and husband Marquise Brown of Sabastian, FL; Shawn Paprocki, Jessica, Amanda and Robert Jr. Mauceri of Hudson New Hampshire. Ann is also survived by her sister Eleanor, husband Ralph Traverso, sister-in-law Constance Molinari and Ann’s very special and loved niece Maribeth Traverso. There are many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews not mentioned but never forgotten. Ann was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Ethel DiBitetto of Venice FL. We want to let her know that she did a great job and wish her a safe journey. We will always remember her smile, her warmth, her energy, her love for family, friends and life. She made a difference in the lives of many. We invite you to join us and celebrate together. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, December 30, 2019 beginning at 8:30 A.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, 35 Merrimack St. in North Andover, MA, followed by a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in St. Michaels Church, 196 Main St., also in North Andover.
