Alice Fitzgerald Sheedy

September 8, 1938 - June 12, 2022

Alice Fitzgerald Sheedy, 83, of North Andover, Mass. passed away peacefully on June 13, 2022 after living a wonderful and beautiful life, full of love, laughter, and smiles shared endlessly with family and countless friends. Born September 8, 1938, in Methuen, MA, Alice was the only daughter of William and Theresa Fitzgerald. She was raised in Stoneham, MA, along with her older brother Bill, her twin brother Jackie and her youngest brother Paul. Alice was always the life of the party and loved nothing more than dancing, entertaining family and friends and decorating the many homes she lived in. A graduate of Chamberlin Junior College, majoring in Fashion Merchandising, Alice began her working career as the owner of Threads of Ireland, an Irish Import Shop in downtown Andover. This was followed by a 13-year career in the Loan Processing Department at Bank of America. Alice, most of all, cherished her 59 years of marriage to the love of her life, Jack, who never let the grass grow under his feet. After one month into their courtship, Jack popped the question on the Harvard bridge. They married two years later, raised two wonderful sons and were blessed with 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons, which they loved fiercely. Together they enjoyed a life filled with beautiful memories of many parties with family and friends and many travels to the beaches and mountains of New Hampshire and to the seacoast of Maine. Alice is survived by her husband Jack, siblings Bill (Maureen), twin brother Jackie (Pat), and Paul (Liz), sons John (Julie) and Paul (Jean), grandchildren John (Amber), Kathleen, Brendan, Meghan, Grace and Maggie, great-grandchildren Jack and Niall, along with many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 9:00 am-10:00 am on Monday, June 20, 2022 at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 35 Merrimack St. in North Andover, MA. A private service and burial will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Alice’s memory to be made to St Jude Children’s Hospital at: Stjude.org.
