Please extend my deepest sympathies to Tom's family. I met Tom Grant at St. Mary Church. He was often there for masses when the students of the grammar school were present. As principal of the grammar school, he would always ask how things were going and always very supportive of the students, the staff, and the school. He was always one of our best cheerleaders. I noticed he was not present at the 4:00pm mass on Christmas Eve, only to read that he had passed away on Christmas Day. I was truly saddened to read of his passing.
My condolences to Tommy's family. RIP Tommy from one of the Class of '68.
Dear Mr. Hutnick, and Tom's Aunt Mary, On behalf of the class of 1968 at Lawrence High, I am extending our very sincerest condolences on your loss of Tommy. I was with Tommy in Prep Club 4 and remember how sweet a smile he brought to classes we shared. We watched LHS football games, come mud, snow, losses or victories together. He was a wonderful friend and we shall miss him and will make special mention of Tommy in our reunion which is being held in September 2011. We shall miss seeing Tom in our midst, being himself. Very sincerely, Ellen O'Donnell O'Donohue Class of 1968 LHS
Dear Family, Thomas and I were classmates at St. Rita grammar school together. We both lived in the Penn's pharmacy area of North Lawrence. I remember him as a quiet and respectful boy in school. Later on in life, I met him in Market Basket. He was just as pleasant and kind then, as in his youth. I extend heartfelt sympathy to his family and will remember him in my prayers. God Bless, Tommy, Elaine (McDonough) White Salem, OR
Please extend my sympathy to Tom's Aunt Mary. Please inform her I would be at the wake and the funeral except I will be out of town. I remember Tom as a very fine, generous and faithful parishioner. I remember him as being a wonderful care giver to his parents. I remember him as having a good sense of humor, especially kidding me about his dog's fondness for me. He certainly was a good man in many ways. Sorry I can not able to be there.
My condolences to Tom's family. I worked with Tom at Demoulas, Westgate , Haverhill in the 1970's. I remember him as a very nice guy. He did the in-store announcements from the deli. I can hear him saying "live n' kickin lobsters"...RIP
