What a shock to read in the paper of Rita's passing. She was a co worker of mine, and a great friend,I was at her home many times for good food and good company with other co-workers from AT@T. We would always have such a good time!Rita was a very generous woman always thinking of others. I so regret that we didn't get together more often in these last yrs. Rita always remembered me with cards for birthdays and Christmas and would always "say come see me" I'm so sorry for that, life just gets away from us. Rita has been thru alot with her illness's.Go climb high on that mountain my friend ,your work on earth is done! Nickie, Bernie and Gina: I extend my deepest sympathy on the loss of your mother and praying that your faith will give you strength in this sad time. Rita was such a striking personality that she looms large in my memory. Whether we were sunbathing or eating the wonderful foods she prepared or just playing cards together on Saturday nights, your mom was the life of the party. I especially miss her hysterically funny stories of times gone by. Our beach days together played an important part of who I am today. And I am sure we all have those same great memories. Aunty Rita, You lived your life with such strong passion and conviction with everything you did and said. When you spoke I listened. Your stories were always told with such expression and enthusiasm that you held a captive audience! Thank you for all the good times at the beach every summer. You always invited us with open arms....and great food. Those were great summers with my Aunty Rita and Uncle Gene. I'll always remember the good times with you.
