David R. Jimenez

Mr. David R. Jimenez, 56, of Lawrence, Massachusetts passed away on Saturday, January 24th, 2009 at the Lawrence General Hospital. He was born in Guayama, Puerto Rico, son of Pedro Rivera and Francisca Jimenez. Mr. Jimenez was educated in the Lawrence Schools and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was an attendant of the Spanish Assembly of God Church in Lawrence, MA. and worked for the United States Post Office in North Andover, MA. David was one of the Organizers of the Spanish Festival in Lawrence, Massachusetts, he was a baseball player for the Carribbean Star also in Lawrence, MA., and was an Avid Yankee's Fan. His family members include: His wife of 37 years Vidalina Rivera Children: Frances Rivera of Lawrence, MA David Rivera and his wife Rosemary of Texas Grandchildren: Edgar Rivera, Alexis Diaz, David J. Rivera and Jordan Leon Brother: Franciso Rivera and his wife Ortensia Gonzalez of Buffalo, NY and Tony Ortiz of Guayama, PR Sister: Mary Rivera and Carme D. Rivera of Guayama, PR. Nephews and Nieces: Pedro Perez, Carlos Perez, Benjean Rodriguez and Becky Rodriguez all of Lawrence, MA. Cousins: Miguel Molina of Lawrence, MA, Paco Molina of Guayama, PR, Luis Molina of Puerto Rico, Prima Migdalina Molina of Conn, and Maria A. Jesus of Guayama, PR. Sisters-in-law: Irena Riuz wife of Ray Delgardo of Arroyo, PR, Eva Fret of Lawrence, MA, Milagros Torres wife of Jose Torres of Lawrence, MA, and Juanita Molina of Lawrence, MA Brothers-in-law: Felipe Riuz, Julio Riuz, Genero Riuz and Marcos "Tony" Riuz all of Lawrence, MA. As well as several other nieces and nephews. Brother to the late: Dina Rivera and Cousin to the late: Amelia Vasquez His funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 28th, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Spanish Assembly of God Church, 14 Vine Street in Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow in the Veteran's Lot at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
